Green Tech Surge Data Centers Worldwide Go Carbon Neutral, Indian Giants Join Sustainability Push
With global data traffic skyrocketing, the environmental toll of data centers has drawn scrutiny. In response, companies like Google, Amazon, and India's own Yotta have committed to powering all hyperscale centers with renewable energy by 2030. India's Ministry of Power recently issued green certifications for six solar powered data campuses in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Yotta’s "ShaktiPark" in Noida, now fully solar, has cut 25,000 tons of CO₂ annually. Technologies like underwater cooling, AI driven thermal monitoring, and hydrogen fuel cell backups are being trialed. Analysts believe this shift will influence ESG ratings and foreign tech investments into India.
